The statement was made during a meeting with Ismail Haniyeh, Head of Hamas’s Political Bureau, and other Palestinian officials in Doha, Qatar, on Saturday. Amirabdollahian, who is actively seeking diplomatic solutions to the Israeli actions in the Gaza Strip, has visited Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, and Qatar for consultations.
Amirabdollahian emphasized that supporting Palestine is a religious, humane, and moral responsibility, urging all Muslims and freedom-loving nations to stand with the oppressed people of Palestine now more than ever.
On the efforts made by the Islamic Republic during the recent days following the onset of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, he noted that Iran proposed an emergency meeting of foreign ministers of the Islamic countries and that Tehran will back any initiative of the Muslim nations in support of the Palestinians.
He also stated that Operation Al-Aqsa Storm is a natural response by the oppressed Palestinian people to the continuous crimes and provocative acts committed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s extremist cabinet.
The Foreign Minister warned that if Israel continues to commit war crimes, it could lead to unpredictable outcomes in the region. He pledged that Iran would do everything in its power to halt these actions.
Haniyeh expressed his gratitude for the support provided by Iran’s Supreme Leader, president, and people. He emphasized the importance of a meeting of high-ranking officials from the Islamic Cooperation Organization and expressed hope for strong support from the Islamic world.
Haniyeh stated that Operation Al-Aqsa Storm has dealt a significant blow to Israel and exposed their distress and weakness. The targeting of civilians in Gaza is indicative of this.
